Our monthly rate includes everything, without a bunch of complex separate charges. This includes room and board, meals, 24/7 personal care, medication management, and activities. Most importantly: your loved one’s monthly amount won’t increase, so you and your family can budget for the future. When we quote you an amount, it is a flat monthly rate that includes everything. There are no surprises, no “fees,” and most importantly, no changes. That makes it easier for families to plan for the future. We won’t increase the monthly rate, even if your loved one needs hospice or end of life care.

Nora’s Home Care is a private-pay community. We do not currently accept Medicaid. If you’d like to discuss payment options or need help understanding what private pay includes, we’re happy to walk through it with you.

Medicaid-funded homes accept state assistance for qualifying residents, often with longer waitlists and state-set reimbursement rates. Private-pay homes like Nora’s Home Care are funded directly by the resident or family, which typically means more immediate availability, a higher staffing ratio, and personalized care plans. We’re happy to talk through which option makes sense for your family’s situation.

Many communities charge extra fees on top of their base rate, like an application fee, a move-in fee, a la carte services, and rising “level of care” charges as needs increase. At Nora’s Home Care, we charge one flat, all-inclusive monthly rate that never increases, so you always know exactly what you’re going to pay.

Yes, depending on the type of benefits in the policy. Most long-term care insurance requires that a Registered Nurse be in charge, which is an advantage of being owned and operated by an RN. Please contact us to ask about your specific situation.

We care for residents with dementia and memory care needs, mobility limitations, diabetic care, wound care, and medication management. Our small home setting allows us to provide individualized attention that’s difficult to match in larger facilities. View our list of services.

Yes. Nora’s Home Care has caregivers on-site around the clock to support residents’ daily needs. These are well-trained, familiar faces, not a rotation of agency providers.

Yes, our caregivers assist with medication administration and management as part of daily care. Our RN, Nora Allen, is always available on call.

When we accept a new resident and create a care plan, we plan for aging and increased needs. We will meet with family members regularly to keep you informed about changes and what might be on the horizon.

Yes, we provide hospice and palliative care and are able to partner with outside agencies to ensure that your loved one is safe and comfortable.

An adult family home is a licensed residential care setting for a small number of residents. Nora’s Home Care has 6 residents in a home-like environment, rather than a large facility with dozens or hundreds of residents. This typically means a higher caregiver-to-resident ratio, more consistent staffing, and a quieter, more personal daily experience.

Nora’s Home Care is licensed for 6 residents, and there is always at least one caregiver in the home. Our caregivers to know each resident well and respond quickly to their needs.

We have an open door policy, so family members can visit any time.

We have an excellent chef on staff who organizes home-cooked meals. We can prepare favorite recipes or anything your loved one might prefer or need, and we can accommodate dietary restrictions as well as their likes and dislikes.

We offer a range of activities and outings to suit different interests. The family-style meals are a highlight of the day, bringing everyone together.

Yes. Nora’s Home Care is a Licensed Adult Family Home regulated by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). Inspection reports are public record and available through DSHS.

Washington State maintains a public directory of licensed adult family homes through DSHS. You can review the home’s license status and inspection history at any time.

Our rooms are fully furnished, but we can change anything to make your loved one comfortable. Personalizing the room helps to make it feel like a home, and we can make room for the items and furniture that they’d like to bring. View photos of the rooms.

Extremely close. Nora’s Home Care is located at 12742 NE 132nd Pl, in Kirkland. We are only a few blocks from Evergreen Health, making it convenient for medical appointments and super-fast in emergencies.

Nora’s is located on a quiet residential cul-de-sac, surrounded by other homes. It’s a block from NE 132^nd Street and about a mile from I-405.
